About Me

I'm Zack Davenport, a former history, economics, and geography teacher and curriculum designer now preparing for an international MBA program in Japan. I was a classroom teacher for eight years, serving a culturally diverse community of high-needs students in two Minneapolis-area charter schools.

My husband got an opportunity to transfer to his company's Japan branch in 2026, which I took as a sign that it was time to leave teaching. While I loved making individual impacts on students' lives, I was ready to pivot to a career where I could make the world a little better for more people than I could ever teach in my lifetime.

Now I am excited to start a new life with my husband in Japan. While in Japan, I am focused on mastering the art of bento lunches, hiking all the mountains around Osaka, and becoming conversational in Japanese.
